Satoshi Itasaka made this Balloon Bench being inspired by a film made in 1957 called “The Red Balloon”. About a boy that befriends a red balloon and romps throughout the streets of Paris shadowed by his new pal. It looks like the Bench is held up by the two bunches of balloons but in reality it is floating because Satoshi suspended his design from the ceiling by 4 anchors, hidden behind the shapes of the balloon bundles.
