Lucas Maassen, a very smart Dutch industrial designer, got the idea to let his 3 sons, Thijme (9), Julian (7) and Maris (7)  paint the pine wood furniture built in his factory. For every piece of furniture the boys paint, they get 1 Euro. Because of the Dutch law they only can work 3 hours a week.

What i love about the brilliant idea of Lucas is that every piece of  furniture is handpainted and will get it’s own story. And because the painters are young boys the furniture will be painted in their own way and will not be completely covered with paint.
