Portrait is one of my favorite stores in Haarlem, Netherlands. It´s a place where people come to work, shop, talk and to have a nice cup of coffee. Karen, Daisy and Rogier created a space where small & local entrepreneurships, fashion labels and interior comes together.
Every inch of this old horse stable is designed and looks amazing. If you visit Haarlem, you definitely have to stop and drink a coffee here. Just to enjoy the store and the lovely store owners.
Some cool design in this little Salad & Soup bar at Cloister’s Arcade in Australia. A black and white checkered wallpaper and floor, marble counter and a nice atmosphere. Slurp serves fresh salads & soups with decent amount of fillings made by scratch. Both are available for take away..
I have a little crush on this Mexican restaurant for lunch and dinner. Canalla is so cute, you just want to fly to San Pedro to eat here. Every little object is designed and has had a great modern look&feel. The beautiful combination between light wood with the dark background gives a nice touch to it!
The Beauty EDU’s The Salon created a more inspiring space to teach. The Salon located in West Melbourne has a fresh interior, designed to give the students and customers a real-world experience. A clean space with white washed floors, beautiful mint green design furniture and inspiring copper accessoires. Joining Salone del Mobile for the third year, fashion brand COS creates a temporary concept store, a collaberation with the Japanese design studio Nendo. Nendo’s designer Oki Santo created this installation for COS, a series of white shirts displayed on stands and hanging van the ceiling in different heights. The white shirts are white, till they reach the steel rectangular frames then the shirt will be dyed in different colours of grey and black.
“The smartly ordered shirts are crisp, classic white until they fall inside the steel cube frames, at which point they take on colour as though the space itself has dyed them” Oki Sato says.
Nendo also created a selection of COS pieces and items.
