Thinking about restyling my interior, I have some ideas about making it lighter and more sweet. I’ve been obsessing about this Soft Pink color for a while now and would love to integrate this in my home. Especially for the bedroom, making it more romantic but still modern and stylish.

Graph coffee
If you come to visit Thailand, you have to stop by Chiang Mai. It’s a cute city with a lot to offer. Cool trendy bars, restaurants and coffee places. Even though Thailand isn’t exactly famous for their coffee, I can say the dark battery acid did me good. While preparing my trips I always make a Pinboard on Pinterest with places to go in every city & town. So every morning – afternoon and evening I choose a new place to eat – drink or chill out.
While walking through Chiang Mai you can find the cutest mini coffee places, but one just stuck to me. Graph is a small industrial looking coffee cafe with great coffee, hot and iced. With it’s intimate atmosphere and vintage interior you can chill here for hours. Hearing the sound of the fresh beans going into the coffee machine and smell the homemade baked goods.

The Portrait in Haarlem
BEANS, COTTON & THINGS
Portrait is one of my favorite stores in Haarlem, Netherlands. It´s a place where people come to work, shop, talk and to have a nice cup of coffee. Karen, Daisy and Rogier created a space where small & local entrepreneurships, fashion labels and interior comes together.
Every inch of this old horse stable is designed and looks amazing. If you visit Haarlem, you definitely have to stop and drink a coffee here. Just to enjoy the store and the lovely store owners.
TAQUERIA CANALLA
I have a little crush on this Mexican restaurant for lunch and dinner. Canalla is so cute, you just want to fly to San Pedro to eat here. Every little object is designed and has had a great modern look&feel. The beautiful combination between light wood with the dark background gives a nice touch to it!
Empty Spaces with character
Capturing empty architectural interiors, showing their many year of cultural and architectural history. The brilliant photographer that shot these still lifes is Candida Höfer, well known for her large-format images showing the interior of incredible spaces. Creating portraits of the Louvre, Uffizi Gallery, the Royal Portuguese Library in Rio de Janeiro, La Scala opera-house in Milan, and many others.

Beauty academy in Melbourne
The Beauty EDU’s The Salon created a more inspiring space to teach. The Salon located in West Melbourne has a fresh interior, designed to give the students and customers a real-world experience. A clean space with white washed floors, beautiful mint green design furniture and inspiring copper accessoires. The designers at Techné architects created a place where everybody would love to work and go to school. Adding contemporary elements for a customer-friendly beauty academy.
The Loft
Giving the Pop-up store a twist, last summer The Playing Circle organized a conceptual pop-up store in a Loft in Amsterdam. The apartment was fully furnished with trendy decor, unique objects and design. You will get inspired only by walking through the space. And the best part is that each piece you see, is for sale. It’s a totally different shopping experience, where first of all you would love to live and secondly your house will get a makeover after visiting this shop.

Amazing Classified Repulse Bay
The comfy Repulse Bay, located in Hong Kong, is the latest outpost of Classified series of cafés. Showing a new industrial-chic look, redefining the standard coffee shops. The firm Substance got inspired by the cafés at the seaside, using the marine blue tiles, rustic timber flooring and lobster-pot inspired ceiling lights. On the menu you can find shrimp, chorizo jambalaya and organic Thai quinoa salad. Or enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy a spot of watching people in one of the two swinging sofas.

CHRISTMAS INSPIRATION
A little bit of Christmas..
Christmas is the happiest time of the year and that has to be created at home with warm and cozy elements. Create a beautiful atmosphere with black & white. Cut Christmas trees out of a black paper or make one out of photos, paint white balls with black paint or sew a pillow with a great pattern.
