The new music video by Die Antwoord called “Ugly Boy’s”, makes a statement. The south African duo, Ninja and Yo-landi Vi$$er, created a video clip to shock the world. Being accompained by the stunning Cara Delevingne, the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers Flea, the ATL twins, madman Marilyn Manson, crazy actor Jack Black and his own ex-wife Dita Von Teese. Creating a setting with Dark vs White, Fun vs Static and Creepy vs playful.

“We just did what we could to make it come to life exactly as they imagined it” said stylist Annie + Hannah during an exclusive for MTV.

“People are unconscious, and you have to use your art as a shock machine” were the words of band-member and director of the short-film, Ninja.

Inside the exhibition of Pharrell Williams’ “G I R L” at Galerie Perrotin

Everywhere you look you see Pharrell Williams. Creating a big blasted by coming with his new album ‘G I R L’. And now showing his creative side by creating a contemporary exhibition at at the Salle de Bal – a former ballroom at the Hôtel du Grand Veneur, a 17th-century Hôtel Particulier in the Marais area of Paris. Featuring 48 artworks with objects by Marina Abramovic and Ulay, Daniel Arsham, JR, Alex Katz, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Yoko Ono, Terry Richardson, Cindy Sherman and Andy Warhol. And 12 pieces specially made for the exhibition, including art with his wife, Helen Lasichanh. You can visit the exhibition till June 25 2014.

STROMAE’S SUCCESSFUL COLLECTION

Less than a week ago the singer Stromae, the artist name of the Belgian Paul van Haver, shows his first unisex clothing collection and within that week the collection is almost sold out. A Brussel located store “Hunting & Collecting“, where the collection is exclusively sold, is already out of stock!

Together with some creative people, like stylist Coralie Barbier and Boldatwork (creative support for publishing & new media) and his label Moseart, he created this collection. Consisting colorful polo’s and socks with African prints, like the garments that Stromae likes to wear on stage. The only way to buy his collection is by the website of Mosaert or the website of Colette, but be quick cause they are low on stock!

The next collection in already in the making, but not jet known when this will be available.

RICK OWEN SHAKES IT UP

Rick Owen sure knows how to show the people a new way of looking at his collection. Beginning inspired by African-American stepping – where the whole body is used as an instrument to make sounds by stamping, clapping and spoken word – Owens showed a collection with zipped-up, laced-up and tough-talking separates, making 40 fierce model “steppers” run the catwalk. The troop were selected by Owen from 4 sorority teams called: Momentum, Zetas, Washington Divas and Soul Steppers. Choosing this way of showing his fantastic new collection, it will stand out and be remembered.

Why don’t other designers do something refreshing and shake things up like this?
