In Tuscany, less than forty kilometers south of Florence lays a castle, Castello di Sammezzano. An incredible castle that has been abandoned and – to our great sorrow – is inaccessible to the public. Thanks to photographyer Martino Zegwaard we can admire this beauty. Too bad we can’t look for ourselves..

TAQUERIA CANALLA
I have a little crush on this Mexican restaurant for lunch and dinner. Canalla is so cute, you just want to fly to San Pedro to eat here. Every little object is designed and has had a great modern look&feel. The beautiful combination between light wood with the dark background gives a nice touch to it!
Beauty academy in Melbourne
The Beauty EDU’s The Salon created a more inspiring space to teach. The Salon located in West Melbourne has a fresh interior, designed to give the students and customers a real-world experience. A clean space with white washed floors, beautiful mint green design furniture and inspiring copper accessoires. The designers at Techné architects created a place where everybody would love to work and go to school. Adding contemporary elements for a customer-friendly beauty academy.
Kropka: Little Cute Snackbar in Poland
Creating a snackbar in a space of only 11.5 sqm? Leave that to space creators PB/Studio and Filip Kozarski, who can do so much with so little stuff. This little shop, Kropka in Gdynia, Poland, serves toasted baguettes, also know as Zapiekani, and pastries. In a space like this you have to be creative, so the designers maximised the space by turning it into an cute white shop with the workshop pegboards to organize the perfect place to hang kitchen equipment.
REFLECTION AT COACHELLA
Already showcasing some amazing street styles of the Coachella, I just had to show this festival project by artist Phillip K. Smith, called “Reflection Field“. 5 giant cube structures made of mirrors and LEDs. Creating an impressive prisms of light and color. Showing the fun surrounding the blocks and enchanting Coachella.
The reflection makes the event bigger and feels magical when the sun goes down. Turning the blocks into massive colorful objects.
LOOK DOWN ON EARTH

Joseph Jensen Water Treatment Plant Granada Hills, California, USA
Searles LakeMojave Desert California, USA
Terraced rice paddies Yuanyang, Yunnan, China
We always see the city from a standing point, but when we rise above the earth to see the world we can discover new beauties. From the Amazon Rainforest to the Japanese motorways. The satellite images of our planet, showing the aesthetic of abstract visual compositions. Launched in december 2013, the Daily Overview posts daily an image seen from space. The project is inspired by a movie made a year ago called: “Overview”, where astronauts show their impressions and emotions by seeing the Earth from space for the very first time.
Go take a minute to see some incredible picture through outer space..
”Man must rise above the Earth – to the top of the atmosphere and beyond – for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives.” Plato
The One Room Hotel in Copenhagen
Can you imagine only having one room in a hotel, well this Central Hotel in Copenhagen does. A mini hotel shows a fairytale in the city of Copenhagen. It’s too sweet, a little hideaway. Located on top of a small café in the Vesterbro neighborhood, with only a double room of Central Hotel. The interior has a unique design with handcrafted details that will make even the pickiest boutique hotel visitor feel right at home.
THE GOOGLE WEB LAB
How else can bring internet to life as Google can?! Universal Design Studio and sister company MAP created the 3D designs and architecture for this Google Web Lab exhibition. A series of web-connected, interactive physical experiments. Having a live connection with London’s Science Museum and open to the world through chromeweblab.com, watch the exhibition online 24-hours a day through webcams that are installed at the museum!
