If you come to visit Thailand, you have to stop by Chiang Mai. It’s a cute city with a lot to offer. Cool trendy bars, restaurants and coffee places. Even though Thailand isn’t exactly famous for their coffee, I can say the dark battery acid did me good. While preparing my trips I always make a Pinboard on Pinterest with places to go in every city & town. So every morning – afternoon and evening I choose a new place to eat – drink or chill out.
While walking through Chiang Mai you can find the cutest mini coffee places, but one just stuck to me. Graph is a small industrial looking coffee cafe with great coffee, hot and iced. With it’s intimate atmosphere and vintage interior you can chill here for hours. Hearing the sound of the fresh beans going into the coffee machine and smell the homemade baked goods.

Portrait is one of my favorite stores in Haarlem, Netherlands. It´s a place where people come to work, shop, talk and to have a nice cup of coffee. Karen, Daisy and Rogier created a space where small & local entrepreneurships, fashion labels and interior comes together.
Every inch of this old horse stable is designed and looks amazing. If you visit Haarlem, you definitely have to stop and drink a coffee here. Just to enjoy the store and the lovely store owners.
Giving the Pop-up store a twist, last summer The Playing Circle organized a conceptual pop-up store in a Loft in Amsterdam. The apartment was fully furnished with trendy decor, unique objects and design. You will get inspired only by walking through the space. And the best part is that each piece you see, is for sale. It’s a totally different shopping experience, where first of all you would love to live and secondly your house will get a makeover after visiting this shop. Continue reading →
The opening of the first Marie-Stella-Maris store located in the cute ‘9 straatjes’ of Amsterdam. Showing their new Care Line, introduce at this event. Beautiful products shown in a modern, clean, white and trendy store, really one to visit if you’re in Amsterdam. To view their products and read more about Marie-Stella-Maris go to their website.
Another Aesop shore that caught my eye! Love the way Design studio Weiss-Heiten used emerald-coloured tiles to cover the walls, floors and surfaces of the new Berlin store for skincare brand Aesop, making it look like one big soap bar. A product wall and an old sink, makes the store serene “Our aim was to create a space that combines the clarity of industrial grids with the strength of historical materials and their individual patina,” said architect Alberto Franco Flores.
Amazing cartoon like design by Artist Richard Woods. Showing his style in all kinds of ways; furniture, buildings, homes, rugs and interior. Playing with colors and patterns creating a space or object. He also designed for Paul Smith and Comme des Garcons their flagships stores.
We have a new store in town; Sunculture. Ad and Mark, both 24 years old, are sunglasses fanatics, their for started a sunglass(web)store. Selling unique sunglasses from brands around the world. And Friday i was part of their opening on the Quellijnstraat 80 with music, food, drink and enthusiastic people. You just have to love these sunglasses, they are amazing! And if you don’t live in Amsterdam, you can buy them online..
For the fourth time, you can visit the Chanel Pop up store in La Mistralée Hotel in Saint Tropez. In the minimalistic Le Mistralée you can set eyes on the S/S 2013 collection and the Paris-Edimbourg Metiers d’art 2012-13 collection.
The interior of the store is amazing; the geometric shapes in the interior design in contrast with the antique parquet floors and white walls. To give the space some natural light the ceiling is made out of glass. In the middle of the room you see the famous hula-hoop Chanel bag and other fantastic designs of Chanel.
Also the visitors can relax in the garden, under a Chanel umbrella.
